2009 Built Green Hammer Award

  • The 2009 Built Green Hammer Award was received in the Small Community category for the Queen City Eco-Village. This Built Green Community contains three new 5-Star Built Green Homes and a 4-Star remodel of a historic farmhouse.

2008 Homestreet Bank Award

For the third year, HomeStreet Bank’s Ballard branch has presented a “Great Neighbor, Great Business Award” to two Ballard-area businesses.

  • This year’s winners are Martha Rose Construction and Origin Records.

Martha Rose has been spearheading the green building efforts in this area since 1974 by public speaking on sustainability topics and as a role model for many builders in the area.

Energy Star Homes NW 2007 Award

  • Energy Star Homes NW 2007 Award for WA Small Home Builder for building ALL of her homes to the Energy Star standards and educating people about the benefits of these homes.

2007 Built Green Pioneer Award

  • 2007 Built Green Pioneer Award was received for advancing the Built Green goals by setting extremely high standards in the spec home market and for helping to spread the word about these techniques by giving on site, and teaching classes, and advertising to promote these ideals.
